Mr. Sharpe was appointed as the IBEW Tenth District International Vice President in April 2026, completing previous IVP Brent Hall’s term through September 2026. Mr. Sharpe will begin his initial 5-year term as the Tenth District Vice President in September of 2026.
Mr. Sharpe was appointed to the IBEW Tenth District staff as an International Representative in July 2019. Mr. Sharpe is responsible for servicing the local unions with IBEW members working under the General Agreement. He also serves as Secretary-Treasurer of the Annual Trades and Labor Council, serves on the Code of Excellence Core Committee, and serves on the Agency Health and Safety Committee. Mr. Sharpe serves 13 IBEW Local Unions working on TVA property, 5 of which work directly with the 7 TVA Nuclear units.
In his role as the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) representative and instructor of the Code of Excellence for the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), Curtis Sharpe served alongside craft representatives from six other unions, TVA Labor Relations management, and the TVA Senior Vice President of Transmission & Power Supply. Sharpe provided craft-union oversight of the Code of Excellence efforts across the entire TVA fleet, including facilitating training through a partnership with the TVA Enterprise Improvement group.
Sharpe started his career with TVA in 1993 as an Operations trainee at the Widows Creek Fossil Plant. He completed his training at the Johnsonville Fossil Plant, where he obtained the Unit Control Room Operator qualifications. Upon returning to Widows Creek, he continued work as a Unit Control Room Operator and Electrical Switchyard Control Room Operator. His switchyard experience prepared him to transfer to TVA Hydro Operations at the Raccoon Mountain Pumped Storage facility in 2004. Sharpe worked in various roles at the Raccoon Mountain facility, achieving the Hydro-Tech Level III, Senior Operator of Pump Storage, in 2007, and remained there until he transitioned to the Code of Excellence Instructor role in the spring of 2018.
During his tenure with TVA, Sharpe served as an IBEW job steward before being elected as Assistant Business Manager/Vice President of IBEW Local 721 in 2007. He served the membership of his IBEW local in this capacity until being elected Business Agent/President in 2011, serving for three terms, and was later appointed as an IBEW International Representative on the Tenth District Staff.

Drake joined Southern Company in 2001 as a participant in Georgia Power’s Professional Development Program and has held several positions in Southern Company’s HR organization, including the dual role as assistant to the vice president of HR and talent manager. In these roles, she supported strategic initiatives across all areas of human resources and led the development of solutions to enhance leadership and employee development, as well as diversity and inclusion. She also led the HR team responsible for HR delivery and staffing for Southern Company’s two new nuclear units at Plant Vogtle, located outside of Augusta. Drake also served as director of human resources at Southern Company, where she was responsible for providing HR consulting services for accounting, finance and treasury, marketing services, human resources, system air, general counsel, external affairs, internal auditing and information technology.
Active in her community, Drake serves on the board of directors for Georgia Public Broadcasting, Southeast Labor and Management Public Affairs Committee and OnBoard. She is also a 2018 alumni of Leadership Georgia.
Drake graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

Grissom has more than 24 years of experience with Southern Company. He began his career as an engineer at Alabama Power’s Miller Steam Plant before holding numerous leadership positions within both Alabama Power and Georgia Power’s generating fleet. Grissom held various Technical Services functional manager roles for the fossil and hydro generation
assets in the areas of Fleet Strategy, Plant Operations Excellence initiatives and Plant Engineering support areas.
He also served as director for SCS Operations Services, where he provided leadership and strategic direction for external
craft labor relations, specifically work agreements, alliances and relationships at the local, state and national levels. Additionally, he provided leadership for the Technical
Training organization and the Continuous Improvement and Learning team.
Prior to joining Southern Company, Grissom worked in lead roles in the steel tubing production and fabrication industry.
Grissom holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Birmingham-Southern
College and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
He is active in community and workforce affairs, currently serving as chairman of
the Alabama Construction Recruiting Institute Board of Directors and a member on the Alabama Apprenticeship Council. Previously he has served on the Make-A-Wish Board of Directors for Alabama and as chairman of the advisory board for the Georgia Southern University College of Engineering and Information Technology.
